CDST is a mandatory test for all diesel driven vehicles since January 2007. It is designed to measure the exhaust emission from a diesel driven vehicle.

No prior booking is required.

1. Check function of all signal & warning lights
2. Check function of horns, wiper & washer
3. Check tyres for baldness & side bulging
4. Check level of brake oil

Once you are at the inspection centre, just drive your vehicle into the lane designated for your vehicle type. Our inspector will take over your vehicle and drive it through the lane for inspection. You can then proceed to make payment for the inspection at our payment office or cashier booth. At the end of the inspection process, you will be awarded the inspection certificate if your vehicle clears the inspection. Otherwise, your car has to be brought back for a re-inspection.

On average, the duration of the inspection process is approximately 7-15 minutes, depending on the type of vehicle.

All off peak cars are required to do the mandatory vehicle roadworthiness inspection. In addition to that, off peak cars are to undergo the number plate seal inspection annually.
